Yes, it is true that right now in Montgomery AL it is a buyer’s market . . . but that’s only if you actually buy! 

 

Also, the Montgomery buyers' market is quickly coming back to equilibrium as evidenced by the decreasing number of homes coming on the market.  March 2007 saw 2,720 new listings...and only 2,491 this past March 2008.  A decrease of 229 listings or over 10%. 

 

Total inventories, after peaking at almost 3850 homes for sale last October 2007, have been declining steadily and are now at 3,628.  When inventories return to the 2,800 homes for sale point, our market will have once again achieved a balance of supply and demand.
